We welcome Robin Davis, Head of New Trains at TransPennine Express, to share with members details around the concept, construction and introduction of their new Nova trains.
TPE are building three brand new fleets of trains that will transform services across the North and into Scotland. There will be 19 5-carriage bi-mode Nova 1 trains, 12 5-carriage electric Nova 2 trains, and 13 5-carriage Nova 3 trains hauled by Class 68 locomotives. The presentation will cover depots and infrastructure as well as the trains themselves. This event will provide a fascinating insight into what will be a step change in quality for travel across key routes in the north.
This event will be of particular relevance to those who are interested in developments in the rail passenger business, as well as those who are studying on one of the IRO courses.
Arrive at 17:30 for 18:00 start.
