A presentation by Andrew O’Keefe and Roy Hickman, Network Rail

Andrew and Roy will deliver a Presentation on the development and introduction across the Network, of RILA. Rail infrastructure alignment acquisition system (RILA) measures absolute track position and geometry with engineering-level accuracy. Compact and easily transportable, it connects to the back of a regular passenger train in less than two minutes. From here, it surveys the rail tracks at line speed and acquires actual, accurate positional information together with value-added geo-referenced video of track assets.

The collection of up real-time Asset Information has obvious benefits for Engineering and Operating staff in delivering a robust and reliable 24-hour railway.
