Event Details

Due to the current risks and uncertainty this event has been cancelled but will be rescheduled at a later date.

David will contrast the reactive but thorough safety systems of the railway (and other traditional industries) with the proactive safety management systems found in high tech industries which he introduced to British Rail after the 1988 Clapham Junction accident and then developed for the privatised railways and, as an international safety consultant, for several overseas railways between 1996 and 2001.

Refreshments from 18.00 with a prompt start at 18.30.
