Event Details

Mark Langman, Route Managing Director Wales for Network Rail, will provide an overview of Rail in Wales looking at the current operation and both current and future challenges being faced. Mark will also provide an insight into the investment being made in rail, the growth of rail in Wales and the opportunities that this will bring.

The talk will be followed by the opportunity to visit both the Wales Route Integrated Control Centre and the Signalling Centre where you will be able to see first-hand how the operational railway is managed on a minute by minute basis to deliver a world class service for our customers.

Please meet on the Concourse at Cardiff Central Station at 1700 where Members of the IRO South West & South Wales Area Council will be on hand to escort you to the above venue.

Members of the Council will be available to throughout the event and will be more than happy to provide any information on joining the Institution; the education programme available or assist with any IRO matters that you may be interested in.
