A presentation outlining LNERs journey from Azuma’s inception, through its design, to that of the realisation of introducing one of the most technologically advanced trains in the UK into passenger service on the ECML route. The presentation will outline how Hitachi will deliver the daily train service provision for LNER and include a look at the behind the scenes activities that they and Network Rail have delivered with regards to facilities and infrastructure enhancements in readiness for the new fleets rollout. We will explore the operational and customer benefits offered by Azuma, as well as looking at how LNER have prepared operationally for Azuma service introduction.
