A visit to, and presentation on, the reinvigorated tramway in Blackpool.

IRO North West and Wales Area Council invite you to join us on a visit to the municipal tramway at Blackpool.  In recent years, the operation has seen considerable investment in both the fleet and infrastructure, which continues with an extension to Blackpool North.

We shall be meeting in Blackpool North station, then following a walking and tram riding itinerary which takes in viewing the new extension (not yet commissioned) followed by a presentation at the operator’s Head Office and a visit to their new Starr Gate depot.

The event concludes at Starr Gate, in time for participants who so wish to travel on the 1717 Northern departure from the nearby Squires Gate station towards Preston.
