Southeastern and Hitachi will be opening the doors to their Ashford depot to an exclusive group of IRO South East members. You will have an opportunity to see how the Class 395 fleet is maintained at the Ashford facility, and what work is undertaken by Hitachi to keep the UK’s only domestic HighSpeed fleet running.

In addition, subject to confirmation, there will be an opportunity for a ‘Charity cab ride’ on a Class 395 from St Pancras to Ashford and on our return leg – through a silent auction style arrangement prior to the event with proceeds being donated to the Royal British Legion.

This visit will provide a valuable insight into the inner workings of a Train Maintenance Depot and would be particularly suited to those who interface with fleet operations. Unfortunately due to high demand this event is now fully booked, we hope to offer this event again in the future.

Please note that advertised times could be subject to change, and PPE including safety shoes will be required.
