Network Rail’s Dan Bushby and Emma Slade will deliver a presentation on the industry approach to fatality management and mitigation.
Of the fatalities on the railway in 2013/14, 7 occurred on a level crossing, 18 involved people trespassing on the railway and 280 were suicides or suspect suicides. This workshop will detail the mitigation measures being implemented by Network Rail and its industry partners to reduce the number of fatalities on the railway.
