Event Details
There are over 600 freight trains running on the UK network every single day with around 50 of these trains running in Scotland delivering goods 24 hours of the day. Each freight train removes up to 76 lorries from the roads, resulting in 1 billion fewer HGV miles every year.
Join us for a visit to Euroterminal Mossend to see this operation in action. DB Cargo Intermodal Terminals Manager, Grace Thomson will host us for a presentation on rail freight infrastructure and operations with a Q&A session over refreshments and this will be followed by a tour of the terminal.
For those travelling by train, please arrive at Motherwell station for 09:45 and meet outside the Travel Centre for onward transport.
