Event Details

Creating a direct link between the vibrant communities of Oxford and Cambridge is a long standing transport aspiration and will deliver growth across the region and nationally.

The East West Rail Company was specifically created by the DfT in 2017 to accelerate the delivery of the project. The CEO, Simon Blanchflower CBE will be giving us some insights into the challenges faced by this exciting project and how they are exploring improved ways of working across the industry to give passengers a better experience.

Please note the slightly later start time to usual. Attendees are kindly requested not to arrive prior to 18.15 as the room will not be available for us to occupy before this time.

We welcome all IRO members, anyone that works in the railway industry (or is looking to join), and anyone interested in becoming a member of the IRO. The event will be followed by our popular networking session giving you the opportunity to meet fellow railway industry professionals with a complimentary warm finger buffet.
