Event Details

The Depot Operations Team at First Great Western’s Reading Traincare Depot would like to offer IRO members the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the principles of Depot Movements Control and Operation. Ron Baird, Depot Operations Manager for Reading Traincare Depot will provide an exciting overview of depot operations, including signalling control and operation and there will be opportunity to test your skills with onsite depot signalling simulator. There will also be the option for a guided tour of the depot facility. 

Places are strictly limited and priority will be given to current students on the IRO education programmes. Orange Hi-Vis Vest and Safety Shoes will be required for the visit, additional PPE will be supplied.
