Virgin Trains, Simarjeet Kaur will be coming to talk to us about her role at Virgin Trains and some of the initiatives that are underway to tackle Corporate Social Responsibility within her business and raise awareness of this subject in the industry. This will cover many of the parts that make up this topic, including environmental issues such as fuel usage, and waste management as well as initiatives in the local community to improving employee experiences.
Simarjeet’s roles as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility is new but she has been responsible for the Environment agenda for Virgin Trains since 2013 and so is happy to answer questions after the presentation.
This is a topic that has not been covered by the Midlands area before and is an opportunity for those on educational courses to attend as well as those with an interest in widening their Railway Operations knowledge.
