By kind permission of GWR we are able to offer a further session driving the Hitachi Class 800 IET simulator, this time at St Phillips Marsh Depot in Bristol.  The realism of a state-of-the art simulator has to be experienced to be believed.  The opportunity to learn driving techniques and to manage simulated faults, failures and incidents in a wholly safe environment demonstrates the modern rail industry commitment to safety and performance.

The sessions will be led by GWR Driver Academy Manager, and IRO South West and Wales Council member, Matt Moody.

Each session is for up to 4 candidates, who will each get the opportunity to drive the simulator.  Please indicate which session(s) would be convenient to you when booking so that we can allocate you a place.  Please arrive 30 minutes before your session for your safety briefing.

These sessions are extremely popular, are expected to book up quickly and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

3. 13:45 to 15:15
4. 15:30 to 17:00

Capacity:  4 candidates per session, total of 16
