Event Details

Electric trains have been running on the Chase Line (Walsall to Rugeley) since May. As Sponsor for the £175m upgrade of the line, Martin Tiller will describe the ups, downs and eventual success of the scheme which involved new road and footbridges, closure of a level crossing, line speed improvements, fencing and vegetation works, platform extensions, LOTS of holes in the ground, 50000 schoolchildren, half a million emails, and much more… not to mention provision of 25kV overhead line on 51km of track. Join us on Wednesday 22nd January 2020 to hear Martin give his view on the Chase Line and have an opportunity to ask questions as well as network with other like minded people.

For our regular attendees please note this event is a Wednesday rather than the usual Tuesday and has moved further into the month to accommodate the Christmas break. The next event in February will be Tuesday 11th, details to follow.
