Event Details

Christian is the Network Rail Programme Manager looking at the transition of Signalling and Control to the new North West Railway Operating Centre (ROC). The ROC is part of a major programme in Network Rail to control the railway via a Traffic Management System in the future. Christian is working with the Operations teams to transfer roles to the new centre in connection with a signalling re-control programme. This will be an interesting talk and will cover numerous modules in the education programme.

About the Speaker:
Christian Wyatt is a career railwayman with all of this 33 years spent in operations, with periodical involvement in larger engineering projects, such as the conversion of the Bury and Altrincham lines to Metrolink. Rising from the position of a ‘Train Recorder’ and through the signalling grades he was promoted to supervisory and management positions in ‘production (operations). All his railway career has been spent in the North of England, including Manchester, Preston Crewe, Liverpool and Chester. He is currently Programme Manager for LNW North. Christian has responsibily for all operational issues associated with the Manchester Rail Operating Centre and is the area lead in all aspects of re-signalling/re-control.
