Event Details

Neville Hill Train Maintenance Depot is used by Northern Rail, East Midlands Trains and London North Eastern Railway for maintenance, fuelling, cleaning and stabling of trains sets and units.

This visit is an opportunity for delegates to see at first-hand the Northern Rail facilities, have a behind the scenes look at operations, and find out how they ensure over 100 Northern Rail units are running every day and get a close up view of some of the different classes of Northern units maintained there. This visit will be of particular relevance to anybody interested in train engineering, especially those who are studying on one of the IRO courses.

The visit will end at approx 19:00-19:30 hrs. Light refreshments will be provided.

We expect this visit to be very popular, so please register as soon as possible, as places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. If a delegate subsequently cannot attend, it is essential that they notify the organiser; late advice or failure to notify may reduce eligibility for subsequent events. Further details will be given to those who have been allocated a place.

Please use the booking form below. Please note you will need to be logged on to the IRO website. If you do not know your username or password please contact the Stafford office and a member of the team will be able to help you. Call 03333 440523 or email admin@railwayoperators.co.uk.

Meet at Leeds station on the north concourse outside Wetherspoons, where transport will be provided to and from the depot

Members are requested to bring along with them their membership cards.
