The South West and Wales Area welcomes all IRO members and prospective members, wherever they live or work. We cater essentially for those based west of Didcot through to West Wales, Worcester/Hereford and Cornwall. Most of our members are from the Swindon, Bristol and Cardiff areas, but we are looking to recruit new members from across the South West, with a view to holding events throughout the region.
The South West Area Council itself comprises railway operators from a variety of ages and backgrounds. As well as extending a warm welcome to everyone, we are particularly keen to develop our relationships with IRO students and, of course, prospective members and students so please do get in touch.
Future Events
The Council welcome suggestions for future events particularly if we can hold events in areas where all members maybe able to attend. Also we welcome suggestions that support POD development.
